About Jantar Mantar
An observatory constructed in 1724, by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur, it has unfortunately been reduced to a staging ground of protests. Besides which, the tall buildings around the monument have rendered it impossible to make accurate calculations with the giant sundial and other technological marvels of the bygone era.
